Oops!

Vanity will get me in trouble every time.Big grin here.In my attempt to beautify my blog the other day I somehow deleted my post titled"Adrift."It is gone.Completely gone.Vanished like an Autumn mist taking flight in the face of a warming sun.All I had attempted to do was add a signature from My Live Signature to the post.It placed itself at the beginning of the post and not where I had wanted it or placed it even.My attempt at fixing this error is what caused the error of the now gone post.Ah well, such things happen sometimes. It's been awhile since my last post.I have been busy here with various errands and watching Hope and living this life God has granted.Yesterday we helped my sister in law stack firewood.I used to think I wanted a wood stove or fireplace if we ever were able to buy a home. Not anymore.Stacking wood changed my opinion greatly.Reality will do that to a person.Even bigger grin.We all used muscles I'm sure our middle aged bodies did not know it had.Give me electric heat or a gas fireplace any day.:-)That's all I have for this evening.I hope your evening is blessed dear readers.
Love~Sharon

Hi Sharon!

Ohhh, trust me, a wood boiler sounded GREAT, until we started chopping and stacking the wood. it's an every few months thing now... I feel your pain :-) Well, your blog looks great -- even if you did lose a post to make it so! I am at a loss as to how to change blogs backgrounds and etc on Blogger. I have a Wordpress blog :-) Stop by again some time!

Phylicia~We have managed to recover quite nicely. But,as you have discovered, some of the"romance"of it all has disappeared in the face of the"reality"of it all.Big grin.Thank you for your kind words about my blog.Doesn't Wordpress have some type of help page somewhere that would help you out.I cannot be very creative here at home in this small apartment so I get creative seasonally with my blog.Blessings~Sharon

Hello dear friend,

I've "fall"en behind on my blog reading of late, and have missed my visiting with you. Sorry to hear you lost a post. I have had some rather frustrating "lessons" with blogger dashboard (I refer to him as a shark -- and not all that affectionately, I am sorry to admit). Your site is lovely; a true place of respite.

We are wood burners and have been for the past 18 years. I just love a roaring woodstove with a chair + book nearby. We have only had one fire thus far, but look forward to many, many more. : )

Hello Sharon......
Love the picture of Westonbirt Arboretum you’ve included in this post. I lived not far from there before moving to Wales. It is a delight in springtime when all the magnolias and camellias are in bloom and the woodlands are thick with a carpet of bluebells. I wondered if you had visited there?

Actually, I enjoy stacking wood for the winter.... it gives me a feeling of great satisfaction....... its almost like a harvest...... a feeling that all is gathered in to provide for us during the cold months of winter...... I think that there is something beautiful about a pile of neatly stacked wood too, it is a symbol of hard work and warmth........ it has warmed you whilst to cut it, stacked it and finally burn it.

Have a blessed week - Marion
