A Rare Gift

God gives quietness at last.
~John Greenleaf Whittier~

I am enjoying some much needed quiet and solitude right now.
My husband is off helping his sister. My granddaughter has not
yet arrived for us to babysit and even our cat is sound asleep.
I do not get these moments often enough so I really relish them
for the rare gift that they are.I am one who has always needed
time to myself.Time to be quiet.To think.To read.To pray.
To just be.

Thank you Lord Jesus for this rare and precious gift.
I appreciate it immensely Lord.

Blessings all~Sharon

I love the sound of the quiet...... it is where I find Jesus and I listen instead of talk...... I wish there were more of those times........

Hi Denise! Thanks so much for stopping by.:-)I really enjoy quiet moments myself. For me they are all far too infrequent.Husband is home retired on disability and I am with him here at home.I love him immensely but find I still need those moments of quiet just to myself.Blessings~Sharon

Thank you for your prayers for Sandy.. I spoke with Sandy and I told her that there are many beautiful ladies praying for her.. She is in good spirits, her husband is not doing as well as she is.. I spoke with him and he has to take the baby home today..... New Father with new baby and wife facing open heart surgery is a tough pill to swallow........ Remember David when you pray.....

I, too, relish in the quiet. with 2 young boys I get it rarely, but enjoy it when I do. I just found your blog, but I will be back...it is a breath of fresh autumn air!

Mariel...thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments.I imagine that with 2 boys it is nearly impossible to have any private or quiet time.I never had children and did not raise my steps but having husband at home and watching granddaughter regularly really eat in to my times of solitude much like your boys do yours.I do hope you'll stop by again.I am curious as to how you found me?Blessings~Sharon
