Amusing Alcott Quote

~She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain.~
Louisa May Alcott

I can completely relate to the first part of this quote and my husband Steve would totally concur on the second part!Oh,just to let everyone know,I was approved to be a book reviewer by Thomas Nelson publishers and am awaiting the arrival of my first book!I just love the smell of new books, don't you?:-)
Have a blessed weekend.
Sharon

Congrats and have fun!!

Personally I swoon at the smell of OLD books best, but new books delight me as well. As a confessed bibliophile . . . books ignite something in me and it pours out in smiles and reaching fingers.

What a blessing. God just provided lots of new reads to fit your budget. Praise the Lord.

XO!

I agree! I love books and the smell of sweet printed pages. However, some books I've bought from eBay come smelling like cigarettes. What a disappointment. If I can stomach them, I'll read them but otherwise I have to throw them out because it just turns my stomach.

Maggie Ann suggested a book to me ages ago that I'm just now getting around to ordering. So I'm waiting for a book too. I can't wait!

Have you ever checked out my book review blog? Please see Sparrow's Book Nook at...

Debbie:
Thanks for your kind words of congratulations! It is indeed in my price range!!:-DI cannot tolerate old books due to allergies.Sad but true.I must even be careful of what I buy at garage sales as they can set off a fit of coughing if too old and musty. So,new is perfect for me.:-) Blessings~Sharon

Oh Sparrow...how gross...books reeking of cigarettes. That would make me cough terribly.Actually something in today's air is doing the very same thing.Perhaps a farmer is burning off a field nearby or something is blooming that my throat does not care for.I will check out your book reviews and I hope your book arrives soon.Blessings~Sharon
